About

The UK's largest free celebration of the natural world returns to Bristol and Bath from 6-14 June 2026!

Expect free in-person and online events for all ages, including film screenings, guest appearances, arts and crafts, experiments, walks, talks, tours, exhibitions, music, and more. Events will take place across the week – starting with a family day in SouthGate Bath and finishing with a huge Wild Weekend celebration in central Bristol (featuring CBeebies' Andy Day with his Dino Raps).

The theme of this year's festival will revolve around trees and forests, shining a spotlight on everything trees do for us, and how they link to our waterways, food, and communities in ways you might not expect. Get your hands in the soil, explore the world of woodland creatures, follow a tree trail, learn something new in an expert talk or get inspired by an immersive screening…

Take a look at the programme to discover nature near you.

SouthGate Family Day (Saturday 6 June)

Come down to SouthGate Bath in the heart of the city and join in a day of free, family-friendly nature fun. Enjoy hands-on activities, creative crafts, lively performances, and inspiring stalls from local organisations celebrating wildlife and the natural world. Discover art displays inspired by nature, learn about local habitats and species, and take part in interactive experiences suitable for all ages.

The event will take place beneath a striking woodland-themed art installation suspended above SouthGate Bath. Inspired by local woodlands, the artwork will create the feeling of stepping beneath a tree canopy in the heart of the city centre. You’ll be able to discover more about woodland wildlife, from birds and insects to mammals and native plants, while learning simple ways to help protect and support woodland habitats.
