Make time to visit Bath's brilliant breweries, vineyards and distilleries during your visit. Many of these businesses offer tours or tastings, or have a shop where you can pick up some local tipples to remind you of your trip.
Breweries
Bath is home to several breweries, from Electric Bear Brewing Co's brewery and taproom just outside the city centre, to real ale champions Abbey Ales. You can also take a tour of the on-site brewery at The Bath Brew House or join one of their Brewery Experience Days, before sampling your way through their tasty range of craft beers.
Vineyards
Brush up on your English wine knowledge with a trip to a nearby vineyard, whether it's the picturesque Minerva Wines to the west, or the multi award-winning Woodchester Valley Vineyard to the north in nearby Gloucestershire.
Quoins Organic Vineyard near Bradford on Avon offer tours and tastings to groups of 10 or more, with a choice of white, red and rose wines. Saddle Goose in Frome produce a range of high quality, low-intervention wines by hand, which you can sample at their Cellar Door.
Experiences are available via Yuup, who also offer a range of activities in the local area, from foodie days out to more adventurous options. You can also book a Cotswolds Vineyards & Wine Tasting Tour, or visit local cidermakers on The Somerset Cider and Cheese Experience.
Distilleries
More of a gin fan? Bath is too! The city has a variety of local distilleries where you can learn more about this fascinating spirit, and maybe your own! The Bath Distillery Gin Bar and Bath Botanical Gin Distillery are both located in the centre of the city and do a range of flavours and special editions.
Just outside the city is Chew Valley Distillery, which boasts a tap room and bottle shop, where you can book on to tours and tasting sessions.
