About

Shakespearean comedy in the magical setting of Bradford on Avon's historic Tithe Barn.

Shakespeare’s most joyful comedy sails into Bradford this season as the Bradfordians Dramatic Society presents Twelfth Night. Shipwrecks, secret identities, glorious misunderstandings and hopelessly tangled love affairs collide in Illyria, where nobody is quite what they seem. As Viola disguises herself as a man to survive in a strange new land, chaos unfolds in one of Shakespeare’s funniest and most heartfelt plays. In a playful twist inspired by the spirit of disguise at the heart of the story, all male roles in this production will be performed by women, and all female roles will be performed by men. The result is a lively, topsy-turvy celebration of comedy, confusion and theatrical tradition that promises laughter, music and plenty of surprises along the way. Whether you’re a lifelong Shakespeare fan or simply looking for a brilliant night out, Twelfth Night offers wit, warmth and wonderfully outrageous entertainment for all.

Venue Information: The performance takes place at the historic Tithe Barn, Bradford on Avon, why not arrive early and have a picnic beside the river. There will be a 20 min interval and there will be programmes, soft drinks, tea, coffees, wine and cakes available to be purchased before the show and during the interval.

Toilets are available on site

Parking: Limited parking is available close to the venue, however there is more parking at the station car park - a riverside walk from car park to the barn makes a beautiful start to the evening. Disabled parking available close to the venue (if required please advise when booking).

What to Bring: The Tithe Barn can become chilly later in the evening, so we recommend bringing cushions, blankets and a torch.

Accessibility: Wheelchair access available, please advise when booking if you require wheelchair
