About

The Somerset Cider and Cheese Experience allows guests to explore Somerset through the prism of cider, cheese and stunning countryside.

What to expect

Visit four independent farms to meet the producers, taste produce unique to Somerset, and learn about the craft: no chemicals, just pure passion and expertise. Cheese tasting and a deli lunch are included, as well as the opportunity to purchase quality produce. Sit back and relax as the minibus takes you from site to site to site on this unique experience.

Tour itinerary

The tour begins at West Country Water Buffalo in Yeovil, home of Buffalicious, where you can meet the buffalo and taste the award-winning mozzarella.

Groups will then partake in a behind-the-scenes distillery tour of Burrow Hill Cider, with a guidend taste testing of their famous Somerset Cider Brandy and other assorted drinks.

Next, head off to Tricky Cider, a picturesque 16th century church in a field and walled orchard, to learn about the hard work that goes into being an independent eco-friendly passionate cider maker.

Finally, no Somerset cider tour would be complete without a visit to Wilkins Cider Farm in Mudgely to meet the infamous Roger Wilkins himself: a cider experience as authentic and traditional as it gets.
