About

Bath Drama's autumn show is Art by Yasmina Reza, directed by Lauren Arena McCann.

This award-winning, fast-paced and witty one-act dark comedy about friendship, loyalty, and personal values follows three long-time friends: Serge, Marc, and Yvan.

Tensions arise when Serge buys an expensive modern painting that Marc strongly dislikes. As the two argue over the artwork and what it represents, Yvan struggles to keep the peace.

What begins as a disagreement about art soon exposes deeper frustrations, insecurities, and differences within their friendship.

Through sharp humour and insightful dialogue, Art explores how strong friendships can be tested when people change or challenge long-held assumptions about one another.
