Celebrated for their creative programming and critically acclaimed performances across the world's major concert halls, Chineke! is Europe's first majority Black and ethnically diverse orchestra. In this WMC debut, they perform a wide-ranging programme spanning vibrant chamber suites to Rodrigo's iconic guitar concerto - performed by rising international star and Brazilian musician Plínio Fernandes - and culminating in African-American composer Adolphus Hailstork's powerful First Symphony
