About

Tristan Brain was a Bristol based artist. He graduated with a BA in Fine Art from Exeter College of Art and Design.

Nature and the female form inspired his work, particularly the beauty of trees and the countryside.

He worked mainly in oils and acrylics, later using pastels for his abstract pieces.

He loved experimenting with colour. Painting was a huge part of his life.

Tristan sadly passed away on New Year's Eve 2024 aged 59 following a short battle with cancer. His family organised this exhibition in celebration of his work. Proceeds from all paintings will go to his favorite charity to help save the rhino through the World Wildlife Fund.
