About

Bath Spa University is working with Smüg Sauna to bring you a very special experience this summer.

Summer is one of the most beautiful times to experience a sauna.

In Finland, people don't stop using saunas when the sun comes out. They become part of everyday life. A chance to slow down, reconnect and enjoy the simple contrast between deep warmth and cool water.

Regular sauna bathing helps your body become more efficient at regulating heat by improving its natural cooling response. The deep warmth helps relax tired muscles after a day of walking, dancing and exploring, while the contrast of a cool plunge leaves many people feeling refreshed, re-energised and ready for whatever comes next.

Experience a sauna and plunge in the unique surroundings of the Walled Garden at the Newton Park Campus.

Each 50-minute session offers the healing power of the sauna and the head-clearing invigoration of a cold plunge. Experienced staff will coach you so you get the most out of this experience.

There are changing rooms, showers and a refreshment stall on hand. Wander through the beautiful parkland after, and make time for a cream tea.
