You don’t have to be fanatical about rugby to enjoy the excitement of a local game at the Recreation Ground, cheering on Premiership side Bath Rugby in the heart of Bath. Grab a bite at half time from the various stalls situated behind the ground, and listen to live music while you wait for the incoming second half.

More of a football fan? Pay a visit to Twerton Park and watch Bath City Football Club take on their local rivals. Kick off your own tradition and bring the whole family along to enjoy supporting the team from the sidelines.

The annual Bike Bath sportive is a day of short, medium and long marked rides, taking in the best scenery of Somerset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. If running is more your thing, don’t miss the Bath Half Marathon, which takes place every March with a route starting on iconic Great Pulteney Street.

With a calendar of regular fixtures and events, Bath Racecourse is a thrilling day out for everyone, hosting around 20 flat races between March and October, alongside many other live events.

And Castle Combe Circuit, the West Country’s home of motorsport, is the perfect place to spend an adrenaline-fuelled day watching incredible live action shows and racing displays, with modern facilities and stunning scenery.
