Visitors can travel on a journey through space this October half term to find out about the amazing space discoveries of astronomers William and Caroline Herschel, from the planet Uranus to comets and nebulae!

After this, visitors can take a look at the night sky tonight to spot stars, planets and more.

Recommended for age 7+.

Not suitable for children under 5 due to immersive 3D video content.

Important booking information

Pre-booking for all members of each group, both adults and children, is essential. There is limited space inside the planetarium, so bookings must include all adults and children that will be attending.

Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

Regretfully, the planetarium is not wheelchair accessible.

As this show takes place in the Herschel Museum of Astronomy's inflatable planetarium, visitors will be required to sit on the floor, with cushions provided. Visitors are asked to let the museum know in advance if this will be a problem, as accommodations may be possible.

Visitors may be asked to remove their shoes prior to entering the planetarium if weather conditions warrant it.
