Along the way, the book highlights the rise of fashionable spa towns such as Bath, whose elegant architecture and vibrant social life made it one of the defining centres of Georgian society.

About the Author

Nicholas Travers is a historian and author of Victorian Britain Day by Day (Pen & Sword, 2024) and Key Dates in Georgian History (Pen & Sword, 2026). In addition to his writing, he teaches History and Politics at a secondary school in London. He delivers public lectures on British history and has spoken at venues including Mayfair Library, the Farmers Club, and Arundel Museum. Nicholas has also appeared on London Live to discuss his work.

Nicholas Travers, the author of The Key Dates in Georgian History, will present an engaging talk about his book followed by the opportunity to ask questions and buy signed copies.
