About
Yayoi Kusama-Inspired Pumpkin Art at the Museum of East Asian Art
The Museum of East Asian Art is inviting families and visitors to get creative this Halloween half-term with a Yayoi Kusama-inspired pumpkin art activity.
Visitors can use pumpkin templates provided by the Museum and decorate them with their own colourful polka-dot designs, inspired by the distinctive style of Japanese contemporary artist Yayoi Kusama.
Pumpkins are one of Kusama's most recognisable motifs, inspired by her childhood love of the gourds. They have featured throughout her artistic career in paintings, prints and sculptures.
This Halloween half-term, visitors can put their own creative twist on traditional pumpkin imagery and get dotty with this fun, family-friendly activity at the Museum of East Asian Art.
