About

Visitors are invited to enjoy a delightful afternoon tea at No.1 Royal Crescent on 18 September 2026, hosted by the museum’s friends at the Choux Box Patisserie.

The event features three one-hour tea party sessions held in the Servants’ Hall. Each ticket also includes time to explore the museum after the tea party. Visitors wishing to see the current exhibition can purchase a reduced-price exhibition ticket for £2.50 from the shop desk on the day of their visit.

As part of the Jane Austen Festival 2026, guests are encouraged to attend in costume, although this is not required.

Session 1

  • 12:00 to 13:00 - Afternoon tea in the Servants’ Hall, hosted by the Choux Box Patisserie
  • 13:00 to 17:30 - Time to explore No.1 Royal Crescent at leisure. A typical museum visit lasts around one hour. The museum closes at 17:30, with the shop and exhibition closing at 17:00.

Session 2

  • 13:45 to 14:45 - Afternoon tea in the Servants’ Hall, hosted by the Choux Box Patisserie
