About

Trio Paradis (Jacquelyn Bevan - piano, Ruth O'Shea - violin & Linda Stocks - cello) play a Café Concert at St Michael's at 3.30pm on the last Friday of each month: a 45-minute concert of mostly classical music, introduced by the performers. St Michael's Cafe is open before and during the concert serving tea, coffee and cakes - please note there will be some noise from the cafe!

'What's in a Name?' explores the theme of names from two angles: individuals who have inspired particular pieces of music, with musical portraits of Sylvia, Margaret, Susan, Jennifer and Mr Belloc; and composers with amusing or unfortunate names - works by Gelinek, Schytte and others...

There's no need to book, though an RSVP via the website www.trioparadis.com is appreciated. Turn up early to be sure of a table, as these concerts are popular…
