About

Step back to Victorian Bath and become the detective in A Major Murder: A Roman Baths Mystery, an immersive evening experience at the iconic Roman Baths. Combining history, live theatre and interactive storytelling, this unique event invites visitors to solve a gripping murder mystery in one of Bath's most famous historic attractions.

Set in 1897, guests are transported to the grand unveiling of the Roman Promenade overlooking the Great Bath. The celebration takes a dramatic turn when Major Charles Davis is discovered dead. Working in teams, participants will question suspects, uncover clues hidden throughout the ancient site and piece together the evidence to identify the killer.

The experience begins with a complimentary arrival drink before guests explore the atmospheric Roman Baths after hours. Throughout the evening, professional actors bring the mystery to life, creating an engaging blend of historical storytelling, suspense and entertainment. Fancy dress is encouraged to enhance the experience, although it is not essential.

Ideal for groups of friends, family celebrations, work socials and anyone looking for unusual things to do in Bath, this interactive event offers the chance to experience the Roman Baths in an entirely different way. Teams of up to 12 people can be booked together, or smaller groups and individuals will be allocated to a team on arrival.

With its combination of history, mystery and live performance, A Major Murder: A Roman Baths Mystery is one of Bath's most distinctive evening events.
