About

Jeneba Kanneh-Mason brings Ravel's sparkling concerto to life with Bath Phil.

Prepare to be transported—from the furthest reaches of the universe to the sunlit landscapes of Bohemia—in a concert overflowing with colour, imagination and unforgettable melodies.

One of Britain's brightest young stars, Jeneba Kanneh-Mason brings her remarkable artistry to Maurice Ravel's sparkling Piano Concerto in G. Celebrated for performances of exceptional poise, intelligence and flair, she is the perfect interpreter of this irresistible work, where jazz-inspired rhythms, lyrical beauty and dazzling virtuosity combine in one of the twentieth century's most captivating concertos.

Camille Pépin's Laniakea opens the evening with music inspired by the vast galactic supercluster that contains our own Milky Way. Richly atmospheric and brilliantly orchestrated, it invites audiences on a spectacular sonic journey through space.

Antonin Dvořák's Sixth Symphony provides a glorious contrast. Brimming with warmth, optimism and folk-inspired vitality, it is music that radiates joy from its opening bars to its triumphant conclusion.

From shimmering orchestral textures to soaring melodies and breathtaking piano playing, this is an evening guaranteed to leave audiences uplifted.
