About

The RUHX Glow Run returns to Odd Down Sports Ground in Bath on Friday 16 October 2026 for an evening of colourful, glow-in-the-dark fun in support of Royal United Hospitals Bath.

Suitable for all ages and abilities, the family-friendly Glow Run gives participants the chance to run, jog, walk or dance their way around a flat, enclosed and illuminated course. In 2026, there are two distances to choose from: a sunset 2km route and an after-dark 5km route, making the event suitable for everyone from families and beginners to regular runners and Parkrunners.

The evening begins with a group warm-up before the 2km route gets underway at 6.15pm. The 5km follows at 7pm, with another group warm-up at 6.45pm. Participants can also enjoy face painting, a UV disco and plenty of opportunities to get into the spirit of the event with neon outfits, fancy dress and glowing accessories.

The RUHX Glow Run is a sponsored fun run rather than a timed race, so there is no pressure to compete or achieve a personal best. Everyone who takes part will receive a finisher's medal, while fundraising will help RUHX continue supporting patients, families and staff at the Royal United Hospital in Bath.

The event is accessible for wheelchair users and pushchairs, with the routes taking place on the smooth, tarmacked cycle track at Odd Down Sports Ground. Accessible parking and toilets are available on site.

Participants are encouraged to arrive from 5.30pm and should wear suitable footwear and clothing for an outdoor evening event. Warm layers, a waterproof coat, water bottle and a torch are recommended, while neon clothing and fancy dress are encouraged.

The RUHX Glow Run 2026 offers a fun-filled evening in Bath for families, friends, runners and walkers, while raising money to support the local NHS and patients at the Royal United Hospital.
