About

Mr B's is thrilled to welcome author and friend of the shop, Hannah Richell, to Bath for the release of her incredibly moving memoir, An Ocean and a Day.

Ten years on from tragically losing her husband in a surfing accident, Hannah Richell finishes the final chapter of a memoir a decade in the making – both a love letter to her husband, and to Australia, the country that stole their hearts.

Juliette, co-owner of Mr B's, has read an early copy and says: 'I was deeply moved by this book which is as beautiful as it is heartbreaking – a raw and wrenching portrait of lives shattered and rebuilt in the wake of grief. Warm, tender and often witty, we get a glimpse into their all too brief life together. Perfect for fans of Cathy Rentzenbrink and Joan Didion.'
