About

Mr B's is thrilled to welcome author Sebastian Faulks back to Bath for his new novel, Farewell to Eden.

From the million-copy Sunday Times bestselling author of Birdsong, comes a sweeping and profound new novel about faith in all its forms, and a rich portrait of an embattled post-war Britain.

Farewell to Eden follows the life of a soldier whose experiences in post-war Palestine threaten his future with an enigmatic music mistress. It asks the question: how, after great suffering, do we retain our humanity, learn to love again, and believe in the promise of a better life?

Sebastian will be in conversation with Sarah Crown, director of Literature at the Arts Council and former Guardian books editor.
