About

An Evening of Bob Chilcott's Inspiring Choral Music in Wells Cathedral

Wells Cathedral Oratorio Society (WCOS) invites you to an unmissable evening celebrating the vibrant choral world of Bob Chilcott, one of Britain's most admired contemporary composers.

Set within the stunning surroundings of Wells Cathedral, this concert brings together Chilcott's rhythmic flair, lyrical warmth, and unmistakable musical storytelling.

The programme features the joyful and colourful Samba Mass, the much‑loved Songs and Cries of London Town with its vivid portraits of the capital, and the hauntingly expressive Circle Song. Together, these works showcase the breadth of Chilcott's imagination - from playful energy to moments of deep stillness and beauty.

Join WCOS for an uplifting evening of inspiring choral music in one of England's most magnificent acoustic spaces.
