Discussing Utopia as both a literary genre and a way of thinking

The genre uses the creative imagination to address political and philosophical issues – though it might be the other way around. From Plato through More, Cavendish, and Morris to Le Guin and Hamja Ahsan – and also by way of urban planning, Sun Ra and Marvel – utopia is a restless tool for asking questions about why things are the way we are and why we do what we do.
