Emberwood presents a series of intimate wine evenings, bringing together limited numbers of guests, the warmth of the hearth, exceptional wines, and seasonal cooking in a setting that is both relaxed and refined.
The Exploration of the Loire Valley
Hosted in the snug, this special evening combines the hearth-led cooking of Executive Head Chef David Hazell with an exceptional selection of Loire Valley wines curated by Master Sommelier Claire Thevenot. Showcasing the diversity of France’s most celebrated river valley, the evening explores the character, elegance, and brilliance of the Loire’s cool-climate terroir.
Designed for a limited number of guests, the experience journeys along the length of the Loire, from steely, mineral-driven Muscadets and ethereal Sancerres to vibrant Chinon reds and luscious Vouvray. Each wine is thoughtfully paired with seasonal dishes and sharing plates from the hearth, highlighting the natural harmony between regional wines and fire-led cooking.
Relaxed in spirit yet serious about wine, the evening offers guided tastings, engaging conversation, and a deeper appreciation of one of France’s most captivating wine regions.
