About
Do you sometimes find yourself feeling tense, unsettled or restless, struggling to switch off, or perhaps feeling low in energy or disconnected from the world around you?
Our nervous system plays an important role in how we experience and respond to life, often in ways that happen beneath our conscious awareness.
Join for a 75-minute introductory workshop exploring the relationship between your nervous system, body and everyday experiences through the lens of Polyvagal Theory and somatic awareness.
What the workshop will cover
- How your nervous system responds to the world around you and the different states we move between.
- How these responses can influence how we think, feel and behave.
- How to recognise and become more aware of your own bodily responses.
- Simple ways to identify personal resources that help you feel grounded, connected and supported.
What you'll take away
An introductory understanding of your nervous system, the beginnings of a personal autonomic map, and some simple practices to help you develop a more compassionate relationship with your body and its needs.
This is an opportunity to slow down, become curious about your own experiences and discover new ways of supporting yourself through everyday life.
Come along and discover new ways of understanding your nervous system and reconnecting with your body.
