About
Join Bath Pipers Club upstairs in Pococks Living Room at The Grapes on Saturday 7 November as they mark International Uilleann Piping Day. It's a day to celebrate the instrument, show what we do and share our love of the pipes with anyone who fancies coming along.
The Grapes have invited fellow pipers from SWAUP to join too. It brings people together through the music and the friendships that grow around it.
3pm to 6pm: try the pipes
Have a go on the pipes, meet and chat with the pipers, and find out about the instrument's music, history and place in Irish traditional music. We'll look at how the pipes work, their role in sessions and how they play alongside other instruments. Whether you're thinking about learning or you're just curious, come and say hello.
6pm to 8pm: trad session
Then we'll settle in for a traditional music session. Sit back and enjoy the tunes, or bring an instrument and join in if you play.
They'd love to see you, whether you're an experienced player, a new learner or hearing the uilleann pipes for the very first time. It's free and dogs are welcome.
*Please note, access to Pococks Living Room is by stairs only*
Free entry, all welcome.
