The Slimline Shufflers:
Virtuosic piano playing, searing harmonica, and inspiration drawn from iconic Crescent City musicians such as Professor Longhair, James Booker, Allen Toussaint and Dr. John. The Slimline Shufflers are a dynamic New Orleans-style rhythm 'n' blues band hailing from Bristol, UK.
They have toured the UK extensively with highlights including Suffolk's Maverick Festival and Gloucester's Cajun and Zydeco Festival. Stateside, they shared a bill with the Rebirth Brass Band at The Howlin' Wolf, during the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival 2024, and performed with a few members of The Dirty Dozen Brass Band at Professor Longhair's former house on Terpsichore St, where the official second line culminated as the street was renamed to Professor Longhair Lane.
Following the release of their well-received debut album "Suspicious Blues", The Slimline Shufflers released their first ever collection of original songs, "Turbo Island EP", in May 2026. "The Slimline Shufflers focus on different sides of the blues…think early Georgie Fame, with blues harmonica and a really kicking rhythm section." – Blues in Britain
Desmond's Dawn:
Five-piece band playing original 'flunk' - a fusion of blues, rock, pop, folk, reggae, and punk coming together as tunes that will get you toes tapping and your hips wiggling. Two songwriters, two guitars, two lead vocalists in the name of Joe Munrow and Al Cosnett are joined by a few fellows, Paul Cannon on sax, Owen Davies on double bass and Alan Hudson on drums.
