Wookey's Winter Wonderland 2026
Experience a magical Christmas day out in Somerset as Wookey's Winter Wonderland returns to Wookey Hole with a completely reimagined festive experience for 2026.
Taking place on selected dates from 21 November to 24 December 2026, the popular family Christmas event near Wells has been transformed with a new location, an immersive journey to meet Father Christmas and the brand-new Wookey Express 4D adventure.
Families will begin their festive journey deep within an enchanted forest before boarding the Wookey Express. This new immersive attraction transports passengers through a snow-covered world using motion, magical visuals and 4D effects, creating an unforgettable journey towards Father Christmas.
At the end of the adventure, children will have the chance to enjoy a personal visit with Father Christmas in his grotto before heading into Santa's Toy Factory, where every child can choose their own special gift to take home.
The Christmas experience continues throughout Wookey Hole, with thousands of twinkling lights illuminating the world-famous caves. Visitors can also discover spectacular festive cave projections, watch a Christmas-themed performance from the Wookey Hole Circus School and enjoy a festive film in the 4D cinema.
