About

At The Chapel offers one of the South West’s most distinctive places to stay, combining ten beautifully designed bedrooms with an award-winning bakery, restaurant and wine store within a sensitively restored 18th-century chapel in the heart of Bruton.

The cool, minimalist design of the main building is reflected throughout the bedrooms, creating spaces that feel calm, spacious and effortlessly stylish. Crisp linens, soft leather chairs, light wooden furniture and carefully chosen contemporary details combine to create a sense of understated luxury. Each room is individually designed, offering its own character while maintaining the simplicity and comfort that have become synonymous with At The Chapel.

Ammenities

Bathrooms are bright, spacious and indulgent, featuring rainfall showers, freestanding baths in selected rooms and luxurious Ubiety products. Made in nearby Bath, the vegan wellbeing range adds a thoughtful local touch to every stay. Bedrooms feature king-size beds and Egyptian cotton bedlinen.

One of the most memorable parts of staying at At The Chapel is waking up to freshly baked croissants delivered directly from the bakery to your bedroom door each morning. A pot of homemade strawberry jam awaits in the fridge, allowing guests to enjoy a simple but special breakfast in bed before heading downstairs to the restaurant, which serves breakfast and all-day dining from 8am.

The heart of Bruton

Located in the centre of Bruton, one of Somerset’s most vibrant creative and culinary destinations, At The Chapel is perfectly placed for exploring independent shops, galleries, restaurants and nearby attractions including Hauser & Wirth Somerset. The surrounding countryside offers beautiful walking and cycling routes, while the town itself has become renowned for its unique blend of culture, food and rural charm.

Guests can spend the day enjoying artisan pastries from the bakery, browsing the carefully curated wine store, dining in the restaurant or relaxing on the terrace overlooking Bruton. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, encouraging visitors to slow down and enjoy the rhythm of the town.

Dog friendly stays

At The Chapel is also dog friendly, with four-legged companions welcome in the Club Room, on the terrace and in selected bedrooms, making it easy for guests to enjoy Somerset together.

Whether visiting for a romantic escape, cultural break, foodie weekend or longer stay, At The Chapel offers a uniquely Somerset experience where exceptional design, outstanding hospitality and artisan food come together under one remarkable roof
